2024 UTME: How to Fill Your JAMB Form Without Mistake

The 2024 JAMB UTME Registration has commenced and some early birds have already bought their form. From our 8years+ of experience, candidates make costly mistakes while filling out their forms online.

We do not want you to make such mistakes too. That is why we will explain how to correctly fill your JAMB Form. When you go to a JAMB Center to register buy the JAMB form, what they will give you will look like the image below.

How to Fill Your JAMB Form The Right Way Now let’s explain how you should fill out the form without making mistakes.

SECTION A: ESSENTIAL INFORMATION PROFILE CODE:

Write your JAMB Profile code here. If you haven’t gotten yours, send NIN to 55019. If you have issues getting it, see all the solutions to profile code issues.

PIN: This is the place you’ll write your JAMB ePIN. You can only get this when you have your JAMB profile code. It can be bought from Banks, ePIN sellers, etc.

Names: Write your Surname, First name, and middle name. No mistakes!

Date of Birth: Here, you’re to write your date of birth in this format: Day – Month – Year

Sex: Male or female? Indicate it here.

Marital status: For most of you, it should be SINGLE. If you’re married, indicate it there. For those single, ignore Maiden Name and Previous Name.

GSM: This should be the number you used to get your Profile Code.

Nationality: If you’re a Nigerian, just write Nigerian, if not, write your country.

State of Origin / LGA: Nigerians should write their state and local government area of Origin in the respective space.

NIN Update: Have you made corrections to your Biodata at NIMC after your last registration? If yes, tick the YES. If no, tick the NO.

SECTION B: OTHER INFORMATION

Disability: If you have disabilities or challenges, indicate, or else tick NONE.

Email Address: Enter your correct email address here. You must NOT make any mistake here. You may NOT be able to change email address after JAMB registration.

Contact Address: This is the address of your current home. Preferred State of Exam: Select the state you want to write the JAMB Exam.

Exam Town: In the state, which exact place do you want to write the exam? Indicate it there. PRO TIP: You should choose a town that has a JAMB CBT Center. See JAMB CBT Center for all states and their towns.

JAMB Mock Exam: If you’re interested in the mock, you can tick YES, if not, tick NO. Mock is optional; if you take it, whatever your result is, it won’t affect your main exam.

SECTION C: CHOICES OF INSTITUTION

This is where you write your choice of institutions and courses you want to study. Your first choice can be any University of your choice, be it federal, state, or private university.

If you wish, you can even choose polytechnic as your first choice. Your second choice can also be a University, Polytechnic, or College of Education. Note that your first choice must NOT be University.

It can be a Polytechnic or College of Education. For example, your 1st choice can be Federal University Dutse (note that your 1st choice can also be a state or private university)

Your 2nd choice can be Delta State University 3rd choice can be Federal Polytechnic Oko 4th Choice: Any IEI awarding school (don’t worry the CBT CENTER will show you one)

SECTION D: UTME SUBJECTS This is where you write the SUBJECTS You want to take in the JAMB exam.

Don’t just choose any subject you like. Make sure that you choose the CORRECT JAMB subjects combination.

This is very important. Wrong UTME subjects can deny you admission. RECOMMENDED: Check out the CORRECT Subject Combinations for All Courses.

SECTION E: O’LEVEL INFORMATION

This is where you’ll write down your WAEC/NECO details. NOTE THAT: For the SCHOOL/PRIVATE Column,

if you wrote GCE, select PRIVATE. Otherwise, you should select SCHOOL. If you have NOT written WAEC, just write out the subjects you’ll write in WAEC, and then in the grade column, write AR (which means awaiting result).

write your full name. In the column for date and signature, write the date you’re filling the form.

STAFF ONLY As a JAMB Candidate, do NOT fill this section.

Here are some important dates all JAMB Candidates must remember: Commencement of 2024 JAMB UTME Registration: 15th January, 2024.

Deadline for the 2024 UTME Registration: 26th February, 2024. Sale of 2024 Direct Entry (DE) application form: Wednesday, February 28, 2024.

Deadline for the 2024 DE application: Thursday, March 28, 2024. 2024 UTME Mock Examination Date: 7th March, 2024. Printing of 2024 UTME

 Examination Slips: 10th April, 2024. 2024 UTME Examination Date: Friday 19th April to Monday 29th April, 2024.
