NECO 2022 PHYSICS SPECIMEN

INSTRUCTIONS TO SCHOOL
Great care should be taken to ensure that the information given below does not reach candidates either directly or indirectly before the examination.

In addition to the usual apparatus in a Physics laboratory, each candidates will require in general; Mathematical Tables, Graph Paper and Geometrical Instruments. For question 1,2,3 the apparatus listed below are required.

QUESTION 1
-G – Clamp.
-2 Meter Rules.
-Optical Pin.
-Mass Hanger of 50g each.
-Beaker.
-Water.
-Plasticine.
-Retort Stand.

QUESTION 2
-Plane Mirror.
-Four Optical Pins.
-Four thumb pins.

QUESTION 3
-Resistant Box.
-Zero-centre Galvanometer.
-2V Accumulator or 2 x 1.5V Dry Leclanche Cell.
-Plug Key.

NECO 2022 BIOLOGY PRACTICAL SPECIMEN

INSTRUCTION(S) TO SCHOOL
The information contained here is highly confidential.

Therefore, efforts should be made to avoid candidates getting to know of this either directly or indirectly before the examination.

Each candidate should bring to the examination hall/laboratory:
(a) A sharpened Pencil (HB).
(b) An Eraser.
(c) A Ruler.
(d) A Sharp Razor Blade or Scalpel or Knife.

3. The school should provide the following for the candidates:
(i) Iodine Solution.
(ii) Dropper.
(iii) Million’s Reagent.

4. Candidates should be provided with the following specimens during the examination:

Specimen A – Microscope.
Specimen B – A Ripe Mango Fruit.
Specimen C – Transverse Section of Tomato Fruit.
Specimen D – Groundnut Seed (Fried/Dried).
Specimen E – Maize Grain.
Specimen F – Carrot.
Specimen G – Irish Potatoes (RAW).
Specimen H – Water Lily.
Specimen I – Prawn.
Specimen J – Tilapia Fish.
Specimen K – Tadpole (8-9 weeks old).
Specimen L – Spider.

NECO 2022 AGRIC. SCIENCE PRACTICAL SPECIMEN
INSTRUCTION(S) TO SCHOOL
Great care should be taken to ensure that the information given overleaf does no reach the candidates either directly or indirectly before the examination.
(a) The provision of specimens, materials and equipment for the examination is your responsibility.

(b) [i] Each candidates should be provided with the following specimens labelled accordingly;

Specimen A – Hand Fork.
Specimen B – Dibber.
Specimen C – Cross Staff.
Specimen D – Cast Net.
Specimen E – Feeding Through.
Specimen F – Loamy Soil.
Specimen G – Clayey Soil.
Specimen H – Sandy Soil.
Specimen I – Earthworm.
Specimen J – Termite.
Specimen K – Grasshopper.
Specimen L – Bean Weevil.
Specimen M – Mealybug.
Specimen N – Animal Skin.
Specimen O – Tick.
Specimen P – Roundworm.

[ii] Where a specimen is not readily available in sufficient quantity, it should be shared between small groups of candidates.

3. REPORT FORM
Report form is provided separately on which the following information must be stated:
(a) Details of the specimens and materials provided.
(b) Any difficulty experienced by candidates especially if the examiner would not be able to discover it from the scripts.

4. A completed report form must be enclosed in envelope containing the scripts.

NECO 2022 CHEMISTRY PRACTICAL SPECIMEN
INSTRUCTION(S) TO SCHOOL
Great care should be taken to ensure that the information given below does not reach the candidates either directly or indirectly before the examination.
In addition to the apparatus and reagents expected to be available in a Secondary School Chemistry Laboratory, each candidates will require the following;

(a) One Burette (50cm3).
(b) One Pipette (20cm3/25cm3), however all candidates in a centre must use pipette of the same volume.
(c) The usual apparatus and reagents for qualitative work including;
(i) Dilute Sodium Hydroxide Solution.
(ii) Dilute Ammonia Solution.
(iii) Dilute Hydrochloric Acid.
(iv) Distilled Water.
(v) Red and Blue Litmus Paper.
(vi) Barium Chloride Solution.
(vii) Phenolphthalein.
(viii) Calcium Hydroxide Solution.
(ix) Methyl Orange.
(x) One Boiling Tube.
(xi) Five Test Tubes.
(xii) Filtration Apparatus.
(xiii) Source of Heat.

3. Each candidates should be supplied with the following labeled An, Bn, Xn and Yn; where ‘n’ is the candidate’s serial number.

(a) 150cm3 of trioxonitrate(v)acid solution in a bottle labelled “An”. The acid solution which should be the same for all candidates will contain 9.50cm3 of concentrated trioxonitrate(v)acid per dm3 of solution.
(b) 150cm3 of sodium(iv) solution in a bottle lableled “Bn”. The solution which should be the same for all candidates will contain 4.20g of sodium trioxocabonate(iv) per dm3 of the solution.
(c) One Spatulaful of Zinc(II)trioxocabonate(iv) salt in a specimen bottle labelled “Xn”.
(d) One Spatulaful of Aluminium chloride salt in a specimen bottle labelled “Yn”.

4. In all cases, more materials may be given if required.

5. The actual concentrations of An and Bn must be stated by the Subject Teacher’s report form, while the candidates should make use of the concentrations stated in the question paper.

NECO 2022 DATA PROCESSING PRACTICAL SPECIMEN
INSTRUCTION(S) TO SCHOOL/SUPERVISOR
A. The school authority/administrator is expected to provide the following facilities in readiness for 2022 NECO SSCE Internal Examination for the candidates.

-A well ventilated computer laboratory to accommodate sizeable number of students at once.
-Stand-by Generator with capacity to power all the systems. (Maximum 2.5KVA).
-Installation of application packages like Microsoft Word, Spreadsheet (Excel), Microsoft Access and Corel draw.
-A reasonable number of printers to go round the candidates.
-UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply).

B. COMPUTER SYSTEM SPECIFICATION
-Hard Drive = 160GB – 320GB.
-RAM = 3GB.
-Processor = Pentium Chip.
-Processor Speed = 2.5MHz at least.
-Operating System = Windows.
-USB Ports = 2 to 4.

INSTRUCTION(S) TO SCHOOL
The information contained here is highly confidential. Efforts should be made to avoid candidates getting to know this either directly or indirectly before the examination.

Each candidate should be instructed to bring the following to the Examination Hall/Laboratory.

(a) HB Pencil,
(b) An Eraser,
(c) A Ruler,
(d) A new Razor Blade or Scalpel.

Candidates should be provided with the following;
(i) Hand lens.
(ii) Petri-dish.
(iii) Forcep.

Specimen A – Head pan.
Specimen B – Shovel.
Specimen C – Measuring Tape.
Specimen D – Digger.
Specimen E – Axe.
Specimen F – Harrow.
Specimen G – Hooks and Line (many hooks fixed at intervals on line, a 6 feet long).
Specimen H – Gill Net.
Specimen I – Fishing Basket.
Specimen J – Cast Net.
Specimen K – Knife.
Specimen L – Milling Machine (model).
Specimen M – Pelleting Machine (model).
Specimen N – Maize Meal.
Specimen O – Fish Meal.
Specimen P – Oyster Shell (grounded oyster shell).
Specimen Q – Wheat Offal.

NOTE: If it is not possible to provide each candidate with all the specimens and apparatus can be provided for groups of not more than 10 candidates.

NECO 2022 TECHNICAL DRAWING PRACTICAL SPECIMEN
INSTRUCTION(S) TO SCHOOL
Each school is expected to provide the following equipment, instruments and materials for each candidate offering Technical Drawing:
-Drawing Table/Drawing Board.
-Tee Square.
-Scale Rule.
-Protractor.
-Set Squares.
-Drawing Instrument set.
-French Curves or Flexible Rubber.
-Clips or Masking Tape.
-Pencils – 2H, H and HB.
-Eraser, Erasing Shield and Brush.
-Sharpener/Razor Blade.

NECO 2022 VISUAL ARTS PRACTICAL SPECIMEN
INSTRUCTION(S) TO SCHOOL
(i) The school is to make available the Underlisted items for the successful conduct of the examination.
(ii) Candidates can choose any set of the items. Any set chosen will be the question to be answered by the candidate during the examination.

1. OBJECT DRAWING
-Wheelbarrow.
-Head pan.
-Shovel.
-Raised Platform.
-Table cloth.

2. NATURE DRAWING
-Two Coconuts.
-A Pineapple.
-A Bunch of Plantain.
-Raised Platform.
